As for today, however, I realized I had never really explained how we get so many worksheets, packets, tests, and photocopies created for our classes. The system my school uses is simultaneously wonderful and frustrating, depending on your ability and time to plan. We put all documents we want copied into a folder labeled with our names and we write on post-it notes how many and what types of copies we want - then a fellow staff member copies it for us in bulk in the morning and delivers it to our classrooms.
This is wonderful in that I never have to make photocopies anymore - a task that used to take me a lot of time and I had to schedule when I did it in order not to conflict with others. It is frustrating because if I had to make a change in my lessons and I don't arrive at school early enough then my copies won't be made until the following day. So, it is very helpful to those who plan but may bite you in the behind if you are unable to (for legitimate reasons, too).
