I really can't get enough of seeing my students working together. This is a group of 10th grade boys who sometimes have trouble answering questions and discussing but when you give them an action to take hold of, they do great! They are preparing for their expedition tomorrow by calculating heights of buildings using the tangent function. It's pretty cool!
I am a math teacher in the New York Department of Education. I infuse technology and real-world problems into my curriculum in order to prepare my students for the future. I would love for people across the country to recognize we teachers can't do it alone. If you don't believe me, come visit my classroom!
