I know I have posted about this topic before but it is always inspiring to see students working together to create something new. Today we had our Geometry students summarizing the tools they have used to solve for unknowns in triangles (ex. trig functions, Pythagorean theorem, etc). It was great to see them review the material and make a toolkit that they can use for studying purposes (and on the test next week). There was obviously a lot of motivation!
I am a math teacher in the New York Department of Education. I infuse technology and real-world problems into my curriculum in order to prepare my students for the future. I would love for people across the country to recognize we teachers can't do it alone. If you don't believe me, come visit my classroom!
